Travel translation for stations, hotels and help desks
With the Travel scene, Tolkivo translates a conversation with station staff, a hotel front desk or a help desk live, in both directions, on one phone. Both of you read the original and the translation side by side.
Before you leave
Choose your two languages and the Travel scene. Tolkivo adapts its wording to transport, stations, accommodation and itineraries, so place names and travel terms come out more accurately. Tolkivo needs an internet connection, so check your mobile data or Wi-Fi before you set out.
At the station or the front desk
Hold the phone between you and the staff member and speak in turns. Tolkivo detects which of the two languages is being spoken, so nobody has to switch direction by hand. When a platform number, a time or a room number comes up, point to it on the screen and confirm it together.
After the conversation
The conversation is saved as text on your device, so you can reread the directions or the check-out time later. If the conversation was long, ask for AI review to get a short summary with the times, places and next steps that were mentioned.
Example: reporting a lost bag at a station
Excuse me, I left a black backpack on the train about thirty minutes ago.
すみません、30分ほど前に電車に黒いリュックを置き忘れました。
どの電車に乗っていましたか。
Which train were you on?
The train from Kyoto that arrived at platform 3 at 2:15.
京都発で、2時15分に3番線に着いた電車です。

What AI review picks up from a travel conversation
When you ask for it, AI review turns the saved conversation into a short summary. For a travel conversation, it puts the practical details first, and each item links back to the original and translation.
- Times, platform numbers, room numbers and place names that were mentioned
- What the staff asked you to do, such as filling in a form or waiting at a counter
- Questions that are still open, such as whether a lost item was found
Tips for travel conversations
- Say place names slowly, and show a map or a ticket when you can.
- Ask one question at a time, for example the platform first and the departure time second.
- For a short trip, a time pack is a one-time purchase with no subscription.
- Check times, platform numbers and prices against signs, tickets or the original text before you act on them.
